According to this sonogram, it is quite possible that our baby will be born TODAY. Yep, the first and second trimester ultrasounds indicated that the due date was Pearl Harbor Day.
...but we're still sticking with our mathematical due date of December 15th. Why? Mostly because first babies tend to be born within eight days after their due date and we don't need anymore waiting than necessary. Although what do we know? Lessee...
- We are excited about the Sharpie Squirmus Ribsy kid.
- Like, a lot.
- We'll post here when appropriate (including Baby Shower Follow-up, Headed to the Birth Center, Baby Born, and Anything We Think is Just So Amazing About Our Child).
- We will post with a frequency that will satisfy far flung relatives.
- We will try not to embarrass our child too much.
- Basil will be the first to fail at that last item.

I feel it is most appropriate that I, the Japanese, would be the first one to invade your blog on this day. I recommend trashy magazines and marathon of reality shows while waiting for the baby arrival (Kid Nation will make you want to be a good parent in so many ways-I swear). Go baby, go!

I totally was just thinking about that poem the other day! If you are a goofus on the roofus...
Hmm, I don't know about that background color.
Also, that sonogram (hah!) really emphasizes Sharpie. All I can see is angles. Where's the baby?
Sorry B & G,
Don't know if we'll have time to come read your blog. We'll be too busy watching reruns of "30 seconds with Yuki" (we can quit any time we want alright?!)

p.s. gillian - even in SAD (boo-hoo) does not work out i would very gladly be SA-Mommy. just a thought... :) besides, SAM is a much easier name to learn than caroline.

Hey, goody! Goody*!
Basillianbaby blog!
I like you BACK.
*This is not Goody as in we're in The Crucible and I'm calling after a goody who forgot her purse. This is like gumdrops.
GRRR, this stupid French dial-up connection is, well, "stupide," when my baby is having a baby and I want instant info. Post photos, many, many beaucoup, of all trois of vous, OK? Basillian bisous from one of the grammas and the French dude. We're on pins and needles waiting.
I keep feeling like I’m not enough of an already parent or a relative to comment, but when it comes down to it I like you guys and I like babies and I like this blog! Can’t wait for updates and for some visit sometime in the not-too-distant future with all three of you!
Hello, lovely commenters!
We welcome all of you whole-heartedly! Please come and visit often (perhaps even in the in-person version!)
